Renovation of 3100 Richmond Avenue, a Houston office building. Tornado damage during hurricane Ike necessitated the replacement of the original exterior travertine panels and curtainwall. A two-tone stucco rainscreen in a human DNA pattern provides a new image for the structure. New steel canopies with signature “ Star “ columns reinforce the mid century origin of this, the former headquarters of Neuhaus and Taylor Architects and Gerald Hines first major office development.
